Today was a very retrospective day. It finally hit me that this dream had actually come true. If for some reason I had to leave tomorrow, this experience will have already exceeded my expectations.

I was standing on the jogging path in Central Park, looking over the lake at the
...more skyline of the East Side. In the background a violinist was playing and I could hear children laughing in the playground. A perfect setting to start the tears flowing, wouldn’t you say? .....

ACAMPO, CA - A skydiver is in critical condition after witnesses said he lost his footing and hit his head in a field at the Parachute Center skydiving location near Lodi on Monday afternoon.

Woodbridge Fire Lt. Dan Schmierer said the victim, a man from Portugal in his 30s, was
...more airlifted to Kaiser Hospital. Even though he was a group, he was experienced enough to do a non-tandem jump.

Schmierer said the parachute did deploy, but the man somehow stumbled while landing. Officials believe he may have broken his femur and injured his back and neck.

"It seems to be more and more common," said Schmierer about the accident. "I don't know if it's because more people are coming to jump or more people are trying to push the envelope."

Schmierer said about 15 to 30 similar accidents happen at Parachute Center every year. The management did not want to comment on the accident.

Until recently, I lived by myself for almost a decade. It was great to have the freedom to walk around without a bra or whatever I wanted on TV. Dirty dishes on the counter? Yep. They are mine! Whose turn is it to unload the dishwasher? That would be me.

The only thing is that it gets
...more really lonely. Especially if something goes awry and you have to handle it all on your own. You know like the toilet exploding or a dead squirrel on your front porch.

Plus, any and all spiders have to be killed by you......
