VALLEJO, CA - Two people were injured during a shooting in a Vallejo neighborhood Wednesday evening.

Vallejo police responded to the intersection of Santa Clara Street and Louisiana Street around 5:56 p.m. to find a male and a female with gunshot wounds, Sgt. Kevin Coelho...more said.

The male victim had life-threatening injuries and was transported to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek. Coelho said the female victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not identified any suspects; Coelho said the investigation is on-going.

Anyone with information is urged to call Vallejo police at 800-488-9383.

If the best things come in small packages, there’s perhaps no smaller package quite as good as the shack-like building directly behind Thomas Keller’s restaurant ad hoc in Yountville. Formally known as addendum, the bite-size establishment is home to some of the biggest flavors I’ve ever...more experienced. As a Northern California girl, I’m mildly ashamed to admit that my first trip to Yountville was just a few weeks back. But better late than never, right? When a friend convinced me to make the quick trip from San Francisco to Yountville for a sunny lunch outing, I didn’t quite know what to expect. What I found, much to my delight, was a quaint and charming place chock-full of impressive food and drink. Enter, addendum.
My friend prepped me for the trip by explaining that addendum is known for its finger-lickin’ fied chicken.....

See where it says U-Factor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient, and Visible Transmittance? The U-Factor is “the number of BTUs (British Thermal Units) per hour that pass through that assembly per degree Farenheit  under a steady rate of heat flow” (taken from the Green Advantage Study Guide). In other words, this is how much heat you’ll feel coming through the window on one of those 110 deg. days we’re sure to have this

VALLEJO, CA - A suspect was shot and killed during a jewelry store robbery Thursday afternoon, Vallejo police said.

A suspect entered the Carrillo's Jewelry Store, on 529 Broadway Street, jumped over the counter and entered the back office, Lt. Ken Weaver.

The suspect, with a...more handgun, threatened the store owner, who then reached for his gun and shot the suspect inside the office.

Weaver said Vallejo Fire and Medic Ambulance attempted to revive the suspect, but were unsuccessful.

The store owner and his wife were taken to the police department for questioning. Weaver said police are investigating the shooting.

But I do have a new baby, of sorts.
